Luis "Beto" Brandoni (1940-2026) was one of Argentina's most renowned and significant actors. He was born in Dock Sud, a port community east of Avellaneda. He debuted on the stage in 1962, on television in 1963, and on film in 1966. He joined the National Comedy Theater in 1964 under the direction of Luisa Vehil.
