José Salvador Perez, better known as Tinoco (Botucatu, November 19, 1920 – São Paulo, May 4, 2012), was the country artist who remained in activity the longest (82 years). He died at age 91 of respiratory failure. He was laid to rest in the Quarta Parada cemetery, in the city of São Paulo and buried in the Vila Alpina cemetery, in the same city.
