Edward Dean Winter (June 3, 1937 – March 8, 2001) was an American actor. He is best known for his recurring role, Colonel Samuel Flagg, in the television series M*A*S*H from 1973 to 1979. Winter was born in Ventura, California. He began his acting career in Ashland, Oregon as a member of the cast of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
