Im Jahr 1979 verließ sie aus politischen Gründen ihr Heimatland und zog nach London, wo sie Politikwissenschaft studierte. Im Jahr 1987 zog sie nach Los Angeles, wo sie nach mehreren Nebenrollen und Theaterauftritten im Jahr 2003 mit Haus aus Sand und Nebel ihren Durchbruch schaffte.…
