This comes as devastating news to his patron, Sheung Chi-yau, a speculator willing to risk it all in search of high profits. Believing that his lifeline lies in a groundbreaking surgery, the artist enters into a deal with the patron and a surgeon, setting the stage for an intricate cascade of intrigue, deceit and desire and turning the fortune around for all three players.
