Lo sceriffo Chad viene colpito a tradimento dal suo vice, l'ex capitano Holt che riesce a non farsi scorgere, mentre sta cercando di bloccare un treno atteso al varco da una banda di banditi. La rapina va a buon fine, Holt e lo stesso Chad fanno ritorno in città.
